He won 2nd place at the Masters of Musical Whistling in 2017, and has placed between 1st to 3rd in all 7 international whistling competitions he took part since 2010. He is also one of the three TEDx whistlers in the world.

“Improvization in whistled music”

Whistling is the closest musical device from your brain, just like singing. Whistling is thus perfect for reproducing the musical ideas you have, but on the flip side of the coin, it also has the difficulty of not being able to rely on fingerings of keyboard sequence, revealing the musicality of the whistler. Yuki will share his ideas for using improvization in whistling, while also touching the basics of improvization.
