Key Differences between WWC2024 and WWC2026

This document outlines the primary changes from WWC2024 to WWC2026.

Categories and Awards

  • The title for the 1st Place winner in the Hikifuki Category will be “Grand Champion” (previously, no title was awarded for overall winner in WWC).
  • The title for the 1st Place winner in the Adult Division of the Recorded Accompaniment Category will be “Champion” (previously, 1st Place winner in WWC).
  • In the Hikifuki Category, accompaniment using instruments that cannot play scales (such as percussion) will not be permitted. In such cases, the entry will be classified under the Allied Arts Category instead of Hikifuki.

Entry Guidelines

  • Resubmission (replacement) of entries for the Recorded Audition will not be permitted, even within the submission period.
